Sahrawi Parliament Speaker on an official visit to Cuba

Havana (Cuba),  May 09,  2018 (SPS) - A the Speaker of the Sahrawi National Council Khatri Aduh has Tuesday started an official visit to Cuba, upon his arrival, he jointly with MP Cuban, Yolanda Ferrer,  have laid a wreath at the memorial monument,  of Cuban independence hero,  José Martí.
Sahrawi Official is expected to meet today at the Cuban parliament by the head of the legislative body, Esteban Lazo

Polisario Front reiterates willingness to resume direct talks with Morocco

Chahid El Hafed (Saharawi Refugee Camps), May 08, 2018 (SPS) - The Permanent Bureau of the Frente of POLISARIO National Secretariat has expressed its full solidarity with the human rights activist, Claude Mangin, who is still on hunger strike because the Moroccan occupation authorities prevented her from visiting her husband, the Saharawi political prisoner of the group of Gdeim Izik, Naama Asfari, sentenced by the military court of Rabat to 30 years in prison.

Algiers, May 5, 2018 (SPS) - Sahrawi ambassador to Algiers Abdelkader Taleb Omar said Friday that Morocco’s decision to break off its diplomatic relations with Iran under a “fictitious pretext was an evidence of its biased for a given side to gain its support and protection” from any possible decision concerning Western Sahara.

Iran’s alleged support to Polisario Front: Moroccan allegations emanate from “cynical political opportunism”

Brussels, May 5, 2018 (SPS) - Sahrawi Minister for Europe Mohamed Sidati described Friday the Moroccan allegations on a so-called military support of Iran to the Polisario Front via Lebanese Hezbollah as “cynical political opportunism” aimed at “undermining the United Nations’ efforts” for the settlement of the conflict in Western Sahara.
“Morocco’s accusations emanate from a cynical political opportunism aimed at undermining the efforts of the United Nations,” he told APS.

South African President reiterates his country’s support to Sahrawi Republic

Pretoria (South Africa), May 5, 2018 (SPS) - South African President Cyril Ramaphosa received, in Pretoria, Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Salem Ould Salek where he reiterated “his country’s traditional support to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in its legitimate struggle for territorial integrity and sovereignty.”
On the occasion of this meeting, Ould Salek handed over to President Cyril Ramaphosa a message from his Sahrawi counterpart Brahim Ghali.

Polisario Front denies Moroccan allegations concerning so-called “Hezbollah’s military support”

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), May 5, 2018 (SPS) - The Polisario Front denied Wednesday in a communiqué the Moroccan allegations concerning the so-called “military support” of Lebanese Hezbollah to the Polisario Front.
In this communiqué, the Polisario Front dubbed “political opportunism” Morocco’s decision to break off its diplomatic relations with Iran, through which it aims at taking a stand concerning the new regional and international developments.”

Foreign Affairs Minister received by South Africa President

Pretoria (South Africa), May 04, 2018 (SPS) -, the President of the Republic of South Africa, his Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa has yesterday received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sahrawi Republic, Mohamed Salem Oulds Salek, who transmitted to the South African leader a message from his counterpart President Brahim Gali.
During the meeting, President Ramaphosa reiterated the firm and traditional support of his country to the Saharawi Republic in its legitimate struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Sahrawi Republic participates in the Japan-Africa Public Private Economic Forum in South Africa

Frente POLISARIO denies Morocco’s allegations after breaking off its relations with Iran

Algiers, May 03, 2018 (SPS)- The Frente POLISARIO denied Morocco’s allegations according to which the POLISARIO has relations with Iran in the military field, defying Rabat to present evidence of these “false allegations,” after deciding to break off its relations with Teheran “because of its support to POLISARIO.”
