National Council, May 13, 2024 (SPS) - The National Council approved Sunday, during a plenary session chaired by the member of the National Secretariat and President of the National Council, Mr. Hama Salama, the draft law endorsing the cooperation agreement between the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The approval of the National Council for the bilateral cooperation agreement between the Sahrawi Republic and Venezuela represents the embodiment of the bonds of solidarity and friendship between the two countries, and the mutual desire to enhance effective cooperation and reap the shared benefits in implementing this agreement.
The areas of cooperation stipulated in the agreement include several fields, including energy, politics, mining, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, social and economic sectors, housing, as well as culture, environment, health, defense, security, sciences, technology, and education.
The Sahrawi Republic maintains strong relations with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, based on shared values and struggles against colonization.
