Agadir (Morocco), April 20, 2024 (SPS) - The family of Sahrawi civilian prisoner Brahim Dadi Ismaili, from the Gdeim Izik group, who is being held in Ait Melloul 2 prison on the outskirts of the Moroccan city of Agadir, has informed the Association for the Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners that he is being subjected to medical neglect and deliberate procrastination by the prison administration.

The family stated that their son informed them last Wednesday of his suffering from back pain, which has made it impossible for him to move, sleep, pray or carry on his daily life normally.

The family added that he did not undergo the scheduled medical examination on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, due to the lack of medical equipment and a malfunction in the MRI machine, which he considered clear collusion between the prison administration and the Agadir city hospital.
