Shaheed Al Hafed (refugee camps) July  15, 2011 (SPS) - Polisario Front renewed Friday its readiness to cooperate with the UN secretary general and his personal envoy, Christopher Ross, to accelerate the decolonization in Western Sahara and enable the Saharawis of their inalienable right of self-determination and independence, according to statement concluded meeting of the National Secretariat.

The meeting focused on the invitation of the UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Ambassador Christopher Ross, for the Saharawi party to attend the eighth round of negotiations, which will be held on July 20 to 21 in Manhasset, in addition to the latest developments in the occupied territories.

The statement recalled that Morocco continues to obstruct the efforts of UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy, asserting the “ Moroccan policy do not reflect a sincere intention to create an atmosphere of trust for a serious and genuine cooperation”

It strongly condemned the acts of repression and tight siege committed by the Moroccan state against the defenseless Saharawi civilians.

The National Secretariat called for the release of all Saharawi political prisoners and to stop the violations of human rights in occupied territories, confirming that unveiling the fait of 651 Saharawi disappears will be considered as goodwill to put end to the conflict.

It mourned the Martyr, Khdijatu Mnt Bahaya, died due to serious wounds following the Moroccan army assault against the Saharawi protest camp of Gdeim Izik on last November.
