More than 5000 Saharawi children spend summer holiday with Spanish families

Madrid, June 3, 2012 (SPS) - A total of 5500 Saharawi children will spend their summer holidays with Spanish hosts families, as reported “Europa Press”.

 

The program is managed by the Spanish associations of friends of the Saharawi people in collaboration with the Saharawi delegation to Spain and its branches in the regions.

 

According to the program, the first group will leave to Spain in mid-June. The children are accompanied by 239 Saharawi supervisors.  

 

The last group will return in early September, after spending two months on holiday with Spanish host families in different regions.

 

Of the 5500 children, Andalucía will host 1.530,Cataluña 509,Castilla-La Mancha 450, Basque Country  386, Galicia 315,Asturias 306,Castilla y León 306,Madrid 306,Valencia 306,Extremadura 230,Canarias 213,Aragón 153,Murcia 153,Navarra 118,Baleares 96,Cantabria 55 y la Rioja 35, according to “Europa Press”.

 

In the same context, other European countries as Germany, Italy, France, and Sweden will host Saharawi children during this summer. (SPS)
