Minister calls for international solidarity following arbitrary acts in occupied El Aaiun

Algiers, Nov 2, 2012 (SPS) - The Minister of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad Mr. Mohamed Al-Ouali Akek, called Friday on international organizations and community to show solidarity with the Saharawi people following the recent arbitrary acts committed Thursday evening by Moroccan occupying forces in occupied El Aaiun.


In a meeting of Head of the Algerian National Consultative Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights Mr. Farouk Ksentini with Saharawi rights activists on Friday, the Saharawi Minister said that this brutal and barbaric intervention left several injured and arrests among the Saharawi activists.


He also indicated that the demonstrations coincide with tour of the UN Personal Envoy Christopher Ross to North Africa, adding that the visit came on eve of the bloody events of Gdeim izik. (SPS)
