President of Republic receives leaders of Nigerian trade union

Abuja, July 18, 2013 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario FrontMr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has received the leaders of the Nigerian Labour Congress headed by Mr. Abdou Wahid Aomaro, head of the union accompanied by its Secretary General, Senior Vice President and in charge of international relations, on the sidelines of the AU exceptional summit on Aids, tuberculosis and malaria diseases, held in the Nigerian capital Abuja between 15 and 16  July.

 

Trade union leader of Nigeria, as he renewed "the unconditional support of the Nigerian Movement to the just struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence as a natural continuation of the struggles of African peoples for freedom and get rid of colonialism and slavery," confirmed to the head of state "the position of  the Nigerian syndicate at the forefront of the movement of Nigerian solidarity with the Saharawi people, and its determination to intensify and develop initiatives of solidarity by organizing more local and international seminars within the second half of the year. "

 

On his part, President of Republic expressed "appreciation of the principle positions of Nigeria's people and government supporting the struggle of the Saharawi people," highlighting "the growing steady movement of solidarity at the level of civil society and human rights under the leadership of the Nigerian trade union and its important role in the activation of solidarity on the continent."

 

The meeting was attended from the Sahrawi side by the Minister of Health, Mohammed Lamin Daddy, Saharawi Ambassador in Nigeria, Abbi Bashraya, and the  entrusted with task in the embassy in Abuja ,WaDad Mostafa. (SPS)
