Bir Lehlou (liberated territories), Sept 22, 2013 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has sent a letter of condolences to H.E Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya, following the terrorist attack that hit shopping centre in the capital Nairobi on Saturday.
“We have learned with sadness and dismay about the shocking and cowardly massacre perpetrated in Nairobi that took the lives of many innocent people and wounded much more in one of the most chilling terrorist attacks,” writes the President of the Republic to his Kenyan counterpart.
President Mohamed Abdelaziz expressed, on behalf of the Saharawi Government and people, “deepest condolences” to the brotherly government and people of Kenya and “heartfelt sympathy” to the families and friends of the victims.
The letter went on saying that the Saharawi people “have been victims of these kinds of heinous acts from the same kind of perpetrators and know only too well the human costs of the violence.”

Excellency and dear brother
Message of condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of Kenya
We have learned with sadness and dismay about the shocking and cowardly massacre perpetrated in Nairobi that took the lives many innocent people and wounded much more in one of the most chilling terrorist attacks.
In these trying times, I would like to express on behalf of the Sahrawi Government and people our deepest condolences to the brotherly government and people of Kenya and our heartfelt sympathy to the families and friends of the victims.
This cowardly terrorist act perpetrated against the Westgate shopping Mall center in Nairobi, which is a symbol of Kenya’s rising prosperity of your beautiful country, seeks to create fear among civilians during that peaceful moment of Saturday by attacking defenseless civilians.
These acts cannot and will not be tolerated because they are heartbreaking reminder that there exists unspeakable evil in our world that represents only these forces of darkness and our peoples must be aware that they must not create divides between people.
We in the Sahrawi have been victims of these kinds of heinous acts from the same kind of perpetrators and know only too well the human costs of the violence.
Excellency and dear brother,
In this difficult times for our brothers in Kenya, and more than ever, our prayers today are with our innocent brothers and sisters affected by this crime; and all African must stand shoulder to shoulder with Kenya in this time of grief for these lives lost and for the many injured and say to those that seek to spread mayhem and carnage that African would remain one and that your beautiful Kenya will remain as brave and invincible as its lions.
The despicable perpetrators of this cowardly act hoped to intimate, divide and cause despondency amongst Kenyans but they have only forced the admiration and provoked the much stronger African solidarity and sympathy with Kenya. We in Sahrawi remain convinced that Kenya as in the past will stand up, fight courageously and defeat those who seek to create mayhem and fear in our continent. Nairobi and its inhabitants will overcome these attacks and patiently will recover and regenerate hope and happiness and generosity that has always shines beyond our continent.
