CHAHID EL HAFEDH (Sahrawis refugee camps), December 25, 2013 (SPS) - Saharawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz has recently received two French lawyers, Gilles Perreux and Noureddine Chems, after their visit to the Saharawi refugee camps.
The meeting between the Saharawi president and the two lawyers focused on illegitimacy of the fisheries agreement inked between Morocco and the European Union (EU) and the export of Sahrawi agricultural products.
President Abdelaziz discussed the means likely to "cancel this agreement, mainly the export of agricultural products from the occupied city of Dakhla," like the Palestinian agricultural products exported to the European market.
During its visit to the Saharawi refugee camps, the two French lawyers met with members of the National Secretariat and the Saharawi government, and visited the National Resistance Museum, where they inquired about the achievements of the Saharawi people over the years of struggle for freedom and independence.
They also visited several institutions of the Saharawi State, including the National Union of Saharawi Women (UNFS), the museum interpretation center, the film school of Boujdour, in addition to the association of families of Saharawi prisoners and disappeared.
The two lawyers had already filed a lawsuit at the European Court, backed by supporters of the Palestinian cause, to end the export of Palestinian agricultural products to the EU. (SPS)
