Shaheed Hafed (Refugee Camp)- Sahrawi President, Mohamed Abdelaziz affirmed that the Sahrawi cause has being "strongly" present on the international and continental front.

Speaking in front of the preparatory committee of the 2nd congress of the Union of the Students of Saguia Hamra and Rio de Oro (UESARIO) to be held next August, President Abdelaziz said that the Sahrawi question "has strong presence on the diplomatic fronts both continentally and internationally as well as in the international and continental organizations likewise the UN Security Council and the African Union (AU)."

For the Sahrawi president, the Sahrawi cause is supported by the "continent," adding that Morocco was isolated because of the expansionist agenda as reflected in the last Summit of  Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), which urged for "the speeding up of decolonization process" by naming a AU special envoy for Western Sahara.

He has also recalled the commitment of the African leaders to "Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination, respect of the human rights, to the halting of natural resources plunder and the destruction of the separation wall which splits Western Sahara. (SPS)
