Russian Communist Party reaffirms steady position in support of Sahrawi people

Dakhla (Refugee Camps), 15 January 2023 (SPS) -  The Communist Party "Communists of Russia" affirmed Saturday its "unconditional" solidarity with the Sahrawi cause and its recognition of the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence, stressing that it will remain "firm" in its position of support until the full sovereignty over its entire national territory.
Receiving a delegation of the Russian Communist Party on the sidelines of the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front, the President of the Repubic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, briefed his guests on the latest developments in the Sahrawi issue, especially in this pivotal stage in the history of the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
Brahim Ghali praised the party's participation in the 16th congress of the Polisario Front, affirming it "reflects the deep-rooted relations" between the two parties.
For its part, the delegation of the Russian Communist Party expressed its "unconditional" solidarity with the Sahrawi cause and its recognition of the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence, indicating that the party was able to introduce the Sahrawi issue in more than 89 Russian regions and will remain "firm" in its position in support of the Sahrawi people until full sovereignty over its entire national territory.
The 16th congress of the Polisario Front "Martyr M'hamed Khaddad Lahbib" continues on Sunday in the wilaya of Dakhla in the Sahrawi refugee camps, under the slogan "Escalation of fighting to expel the occupation and complete sovereignty".
Some 2,000 delegates and 300 personalities coming from Africa, Latin America, Europe and Asia are taking part in the Congress, it should be recalled.
