Sahrawi association holds international community responsible for systematic policies of Moroccan occupation against Sahrawis

Occupied El Aaiun, 10 December 2022 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Association for Victims of Grave Violations Committed by the Moroccan State held Saturday the international community fully responsible for the systematic policies pursued by the Moroccan occupation against defenseless Sahrawi civilians and the humiliating practices they are subjected to in order to curb their struggle.
In a statement by the Association on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Association recalled - as it commemorated this important global event with all its symbolism and significance - "the tragic human rights situation experienced by the Sahrawi people, as a result of the policies of repression of rights and freedoms and the plundering of wealth pursued by the Moroccan state."
The Association also raised "Morocco's continuation of its illegal occupation of the territory of Western Sahara, in light of the suspicious silence of the world, in particular the United Nations, about all these grave violations that escalated dangerously after the Moroccan army violated the ceasefire agreement on November 13, 2020 and the resumption of war in the region."
The Association held "the UN Security Council and the United Nations, represented by its current Secretary-General, fully responsible for their clear bias towards the Moroccan occupation state, their tolerance of its violations and abuses, their silence about its crimes and their failure to condemn it."
