Sahrawi Ambassador to Europe and EU starts a working visit to Austria

Vienna (Austria), November 10, 2022 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Ambassador in charge of Europe and the European Union, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mr. Oubi Bushraya Al-Bashir, embarked on a working visit to Austria, aiming at briefing the officials there on the latest developments of the Sahrawi issue, in addition to discussing ways of cooperation and partnership.
The Sahrawi official, who was accompanied by the representative of the Polisario Front in Austria, Mr. Mohamed Salama Badi, started the first stop of the visit by meeting the Austrian Association for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People. The meeting was an opportunity in which the Sahrawi diplomat briefed his hosts on the latest developments of the Sahrawi cause in its various contexts; nationally, regionally and internationally.
Ambassador Oubi Bushraya al-Bashir reviewed the developments of the Sahrawi cause, the prospects that would characterize the coming year, 2023, on the horizon of the 16th Polisario Front Conference which will be hold in January 2023, in addition to the final and irrefutable European Court decision that is expected to be issued in the second quarter of the next year concerning the natural resources of Western Sahara.
Mr. Oubi Bushraya Al-Bashir – recalled that the current situation is marked by the resumption of the armed struggle as a new reality that breaks with the stalemate wanted by the Security Council, a permanent and stable state exploited by the Moroccan occupation state to strengthen its illegal presence on parts of the territory of the Saharawi Republic.
After an extensive presentation on the latest developments of various aspects of the Sahrawi issue, the attendees discussed the outlines of the solidarity movement program for the coming year, 2023, and ways to raise performance so that the solidarity action is up to the challenges.
