Sultana Khaya denounces before French Parliament violations, crimes of Moroccan occupation

Paris, 11 September 2022 (SPS) - The Sahrawi human rights activist, Sultana Khaya denounced, at the headquarters of the French Parliament, the crimes of the Moroccan occupation and revealed the serious violations she suffered for her relentless defense of the rights of the Sahrawi people.
Accompanied by the Polisario Front representative in France, Mohamed Sidati, activist and human rights defender, Sultana Khaya met Friday at the headquarters of the French Parliament, MP Jean-Paul Lecoq to whom she revealed the violations she suffered, including the state of siege, torture and assassination attempts.
For his part, Jean-Paul Lecoq condemned the repression and violations suffered by the Sahrawi people, reiterating his full solidarity with the activist Sultana Khaya and with the Sahrawi people.
Sultana Khaya arrived in Paris on Thursday to attend the Fête de l'Humanité as a guest of honor.
During her stay, the activist will relate her personal experience of the repression and the siege imposed by the Makhzen.
She will hold meetings with French civil society organizations and will lead conferences on the Sahrawi cause.
