The UNMS participates in the 3rd world women’s conference of grassroots women in Tunisia

Tunis, September 05, 2022 (SPS) - The National Union of Sahrawi Women “UNMS” is participating in the Third World Women’s Conference of Grassroots Women, which is hosted in the capital, Tunis, from 04 to 9 September, 2022.

The UNMS is represented by the member of the Executive Office in charge of information, Ms. Al-Ajla Sheikh Alla, in addition to participants representing about 30 countries from different countries of the world, and many national and regional organizations and associations.

The 3rd world women’s conference of grassroots women started yesterday, Sunday, with a march from the square of January 14, on Habib Bourguiba St, in the center of the capital, Tunis, towards the city of culture, which will host the official opening of the conference.

According to a statement by Ms. Amira Dalsh, a member of the conference's preparation committee, The conference, which chose “Olive Tree” as the logo of the conference due to its symbolism in Tunisia, poses many problems and concerns of the grassroots women, who are working in various sectors and fields.

It should be noted  that the previous two editions of the world women’s conference of grassroots women  were held in Venezuela and Nepal in 2011 and 2016.
