Chahid El-Hafed, 09, August 2022 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, stated that "Moroccan intransigence and its violation of international legality will only lead to a further escalation and instability in the region.
During his inaugural speech at the Seventh Ordinary Session of the National Secretariat, Gali renewed "the willingness of the POLISARIO to engage in true cooperation with the efforts of UN to put an end to the decolonization process of the last colony in Africa, reaffirming that the resolution of the conflict cannot leave the framework clearly designed to guarantee the inalienable and non-negotiable right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence”.
In this regard, Gali called on the Security Council to "assume its responsibility, putting an end to the intransigence shown by the Moroccan occupation state, which will only lead to increase tension and even the explosion of the security situation in the region”.SPS
