Submitted on

Ait Melloul Local Prison (Morocco), 04, August 2022 (SPS) – The administrative authorities of the Ait Melloul Local Prison, on the outskirts of the city of Agadir, in Morocco, deprived last Tuesday, August 2, of 2022, to members of the family of the Saharawi political prisoner of the Gdeim Izik Group, Brahim Daddi Ismaili, of their right to visit.
According to sources from the League for the Protection of Saharawi Prisoners in Moroccan Prisons, the political prisoner's daughter, her husband and her granddaughter were denied visits under the pretext that they did not have a vaccination certificate, when in fact the rejection is part of the policies of punishment and deprivation to which the Saharawi political prisoners and their families are subjected.
In this sense, his daughter said that "her husband had presented the vaccination certificate or passport, according to the regulations for access to penitentiary institutions, however, the Director of the Prison rejected the access to the husband and granddaughter, in flagrant violation of their right to visit”.
