Ambassador Hamdi Mayara presents his Credentials to President Hage Gongob of Namibia

Windhoek (Namibia), 29 July 2022 (SPS) – H.E. Hamdi Jalil Mayara presented his credentials to the Namibian President, HE. Hage Geingob, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Saharawi Republic to the Republic of Namibia.
During the ceremony that took place yesterday in the presidential palace, the Namibian president renewed his country's firm support for the struggle of the Saharawi people and their right to freedom and independence.
The Namibian president reiterated Namibia's firm position in support of the decolonization of Western Sahara.
The ceremony was attended by the Namibian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Namibia.
H.E. Mr. Hamidi, had presented copies of his Letters of Credence to Hon. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation last Wednesday, 27 July 2022.
 
Namibia recognized the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) on June 11, 1990 and since then they have maintained strong and excellent diplomatic relations at Ambassadorial level.
Saharawi Liberation movement, POLISARIO Front, also maintains tight relations with SWAPO since the years of the struggle against colonialism in Namibia. (SPS)
