London (United Kingdom), 21, Feb 2022 (SPS) - A delegation from the Frente POLISARIO was received on Monday by members of the Parliamentary Group for Friendship with the Sahrawi People’s Bureau, in the presence of Labour shadow cabinet among them Mr. Jeremy Corbyn, the former head of the Labor Party.
the delegation briefed the group on the latest developments related to the conflict in Western Sahara in light of the resumption of war following the Moroccan occupation army’s violation of the cease-fire in the Guergarat region, then the new envoy of UNSG visit to the region.
They have also discussed the human rights crisis in the occupied territories and the continuous looting of natural resources, appealing in the same context to the British government to play a positive role at the level of the Security Council, as well as the Group of Friends of Western Sahara to pressure the Moroccan to comply with international legitimacy.SPS
