Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 17 January 2022 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out Monday new attacks against the positions of the Moroccan occupying forces in the Farsia sector, indicated the Ministry of Defense in its communiqué N431.
According to the communiqué, "advanced detachments of the Sahrawi army intensified on Monday their bombardments against the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupation forces in the areas of Agrarat Shedida and Agrarat Lahdid (Farsia).
SPLA units had bombarded on Sunday the positions of the Moroccan occupying forces in the sectors of Mahbas and Awsard and in the regions of Fedret Mars, Amitir Lamkhinza, Agrara Fersik and Guelb Ennos.
SPLA attacks have been ongoing since November 13, 2020, following Morocco's violation of the ceasefire after an attack on Sahrawi civilians at the El Guerguerat breach.
