Occupied Aaiun, July 13, 2021 (SPS) - The Saharawi Instance against the Moroccan Occupation (ISACOM) expressed its “condemnation and deep concern over the siege and torture suffered by the Sahrawi activist Sultana Sidbrahim Jaya and her family for eight months, calling on the United Nations and its different agencies to work to break the siege and protect civilians against systematic violations by the Moroccan occupation authorities ”.
In a statement made public today, the Sahrawi NGO said that it “follows with concern the situation of Sultana Sidbrahim Jaya and her family, who suffer daily repression by the Moroccan regime's security apparatuses, which have gone beyond the siege to include personal insults, physical abuse and the launching of substances inside their home to intimidate them and harass family members, as they do with all Sahrawi civilians in the occupied areas of Western Sahara ”.SPS
