Submitted on

Occupied El Aaiun, 13 June 2021 (SPS) – President of the Sahrawi Body against the Moroccan occupation (ISACOM), Aminatou Haidar welcomed, Friday, the decision of the European Parliament which unanimously condemns Morocco for blackmailing Spain by exploiting minors in "a purely inhuman and immoral collective immigration."
Despite this decision, "the Europen Parliament has not shed light on the real reasons behind the Moroccan obstinacy," due "to the negligence and complicity of the EU with the Moroccan occupier’s system.”
The European Union tends to be "indulgent" towards Morocco in more ways than one, adding that "this will encourage Morocco to violate the international law."
She called on the European Parliament and Union to put "pressure on the Moroccan system" to end occupation of the Sahrawi Republic.
The European Parliament had adopted, Thursday, a resolution in which it reminded Morocco that the immigration issue could not be used for political purposes, especially when the immigrants are minors. (SPS)
