Sahrawi Foreign Minister: “Moroccan aggression against Sahrawi people threatens security of entire region"

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), Dec 08, 2020 (SPS) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mr. , affirmed today that “the Moroccan aggression against the Saharawi people that continues since 1975 represents a security threat in the region”.
In a statement made in response to the address of the Moroccan Foreign Minister, Mr. Uld Salek said that, “through its continuous aggression and transgressions, the Kingdom of Morocco represents a threat to security throughout the region, which continues to flood with its drugs, using it perpetuate the Sahrawi people and support the terrorist groups in the Sahel ”.
"The Moroccan minister's statements show that his country continues to base its policy on misrepresentation and manipulation," said Mr. Uld Salek, adding that "Morocco has accepted the referendum on self-determination before the whole world and has reaffirmed its willingness to accept its results and even that it would open an embassy if the Sahrawis opted for independence and now it denies those commitments sponsored by the UN and the OAU / AU ”.
