FLN reaffirms support to Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence

Algiers, 1 August 2020 (SPS) -  Secretary General of the Algerian National Liberation Front (FLN), Mr. Abou El Fadl Baadji, reiterated his party's position in support of the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence, confirming that the issue of Western Sahara is the last issue of decolonization and it is time to resolve it on the basis of the application of resolutions of international legitimacy.

This came during a reception of Mr. Abou El Fadl Baadji to Sahrawi Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar. The meeting addressed the distinguished bilateral relations between the FLN and the Polisario Front as well as the joint history of the struggle against colonialism.

For his part, the Sahrawi ambassador praised algeria's consistent position in defending the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, stressing that since his arrival at the presidency, Algerian President Abdelmajid Taboune has always called on the United Nations to implement the UN resolutions to decolonize Western Sahara.
