Adoption by Security Council of President Ghali’s letter as official document irritates Moroccan regime

Shaheed Al-Hafed, 11 July 2020 (SPS) -The adoption by the Security Council of a letter sent recently from President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Brahim Ghali to the United Nations as an official document irritated the Moroccan regime.
It is a letter sent recently from President Ghali to the United Nations, in which he warned against the spread of the new coronavirus pandemic which has significantly spread in a short time across the occupied Sahrawi territories.
“This serious humanitarian situation is the direct consequence of the disdain of the occupying Moroccan authorities for the lives of the trapped Sahrawi civilians,” affirmed Sahrawi president in this letter.
Morocco tried, through a letter sent to the Security Council by its permanent representative within the United Nations Omar Hilale, to exert pressure on UN which recognizes the Polisario Front as the Sahrawi people’s legitimate representative, with a view to opposing the letters and notes of the Polisario Front.
What irritates the Moroccan regime is the signature of Sahrawi President Brahim Ghali and the place where it was written, namely the liberated locality of Bir Lahlou. (SPS)
