Saharawi delegate to Castilla y León holds a meeting with the members of the Parliamentary Intergroup "Peace and Freedom for the Sahara"

Castilla y León, Nov 5, 2019 (SPS) - The Saharawi delegate to Castilla y León, Mohamed Labat Mustafa held an important meeting with members of the Parliamentary Intergroup "Paz y Freedom for the Sahara. "
In the meeting, representatives of the different Castilian-Leon political forces participated: Miguel Ángel García Nieto, deputy spokesman of the Popular Party; Luis Fernández Bayón, of the PSOE; Marta Sanz Gilmartín, from Ciudadanos and Laura Domínguez Aria, from the Mixed Group (Podemos, VOX, the Union of the Leonés people, By Ávila).
The Saharawi diplomat was accompanied by Rufo Martín and Javier Moratalla, presidents of friendly associations of the Saharawi people of Valladolid and Segovia, respectively.
Labat informed political leaders about the latest developments in relation to the Saharawi conflict, especially regarding the latest resolution of the UN Security Council, against which the the Frente POLISARIO has expressed its outrage and its intention to "reconsider its participation "in the peace process supervised by the United Nations.
Likewise, the Saharawi delegate presented, at the meeting, the situation of the Saharawi refugees, and the basic needs that require humanitarian aid, especially in the areas of health and education.
The meeting also served to address the participation of the Intergroup in the next Forty-fourth edition of the EUCOCO; as well as the institutional declaration that the Parliament of Castilla y León is preparing in support of the just struggle of the Saharawi people. SPS
