Boumerdes, August 09, 2019 (SPS) -  Sahrawi President Brahim Gali paid tribute, Wednesday in Boumerdes, to Algeria for its support to the Sahrawi people in their struggle for their independence, adding that it is a pride for Sahrawi people to draw on Algeria's tremendous experience.
In his closing address at the 10th Summer Conference of executives of the Frente POLISARIO and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), held at M'hamed Bouguerra University in Boumerdes since 27 July, President Gali thanked the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with Sahrawi People, as well as all Algerian and Sahrawi participants in the Conference.
"We are very proud of the results achieved thanks to the efforts of all parties at different levels in order to ensure the smooth running of the Conference," he said.
"Algeria and its hospitable people have actively helped the oppressed Sahrawi people. They welcomed tens of thousands of refugees, who fled brutality of Moroccan forces, which used napalm and white phosphorus," said the Sahrawi president.
President Gali paid tribute to "Algeria, which has supported Sahrawi people, as it has been doing with all oppressed people around the world."
"Today, thousands of Sahrawis, who graduated from Algerian universities in all specialities, are working in various Sahrawi institutions and fields," he stressed.
"It is a pride for Sahrawi people to draw on Algeria's tremendous experience. Algeria has inspired peoples around the world, in the past as well as in the present, and has impressed the world with the fraternity, dignity and generosity of its people."
President Gali also paid tribute to the people of the glorious Revolution of 1st November, who defeated one of the greatest colonial powers, France, despite all its atrocities and crimes against humanity. SPS
