"The resistance of the Saharawi people will end with victory and self-determination", the Prime Minister of East Timor

Timor-Leste, May 14, 2019 (SPS) - The Prime Minister of East Timor, Mr. Taur Matan Ruak, affirmed that the resistance of the Saharawi people will end with victory and their right to freedom and self-determination.
This came during a meeting held by the Sahrawi Ambassador to East Timor, Mr. Mohamed Slama Baddi at the Government Palace in Dili, affirming the principled position of the Republic of East Timor with the Sahrawi Republic and its people in order to complete their sovereignty and enable the Saharawi people their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
"The victory is rooted in the resistance, the resistance of the long and heroic Sahrawi people is a sign that victory is not ally sooner or later," he said, reiterating that "we are convinced of your victory.
The meeting was an occasion in which the Sahrawi ambassador reviewed the developments of the Sahrawi issue, especially the Geneva talks and the recent Security Council resolution. SPS
