Saharwi Refugee Camps will host 14th edition of "FiSahara"

Chahid El Hafed, Nov 27, 2018 (SPS) - The Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, Mr. Ahmudi Labsir, confirmed on Tuesday that the 14th Western Sahara International Film Festival will be held in the Wilaya of Dakhla from 2 to 8December, with the participation of 25 films.
Ahmudi Labsir said at a press conference organized in the Ministry of Information of the SADR that the films that will participate in the festival address various aspects of the struggle of the Saharawi people, and many are the produced by filmmakers of the National Film School "Abididin El Kaid Saleh".
He said that the festival will be attended by many foreign delegations of filmmakers and international artists from different countries of the world, such as Spain and Algeria.

The International Western Sahara Film Festival, well known as “FISAHARA”, was held for the first time in 2004 and is currently an annual event taking place in the Saharawi refugee camps to shed light on the struggle of the Saharawi people towards national independence. SPS
