President Brahim Gali meets several African heads of state and government in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Nov 20, 2018 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali, met, on the sidelines of the eleventh extraordinary summit of the African Union, with numerous heads of state and government and as well as with the heads of the African Commission.
The President of the Republic met with his counterparts from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia, and also with the heads of delegations from Nigeria, Seychelles and Angola.
The talks focused on the latest developments in the Western Sahara issue on the African and international scene, as well as the bilateral relations between the Saharawi Republic and these countries and the exchange of opinions on issues of common interest.
President Brahim Gali informed his interlocutors about the efforts of the United Nations for the decolonization of the last colony in Africa, recalling the decisions taken by the AU through the establishment of an African troika mechanism and its membership of the Nations United in the search for a just solution to the conflict and the appeal of the UNSG to the parties in conflict, (the Saharawi Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco (to participate in direct negotiations in good faith and without preconditions for the solution of this long conflict.
