CONASADH condemns Moroccan authority repression against Sahrawi citizens in OOTT

Chahid El Hafed, Sept 06, 2018 (SPS) -The Saharawi National Human Rights Commission (CONASADH) has condemned all forms of repression and torture by Moroccan occupation forces against Saharawi citizens in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, according to statement a copy obtained by SPS
"We condemn all forms of repression, physical and verbal torture committed by the Moroccan occupation authorities against Saharawi citizens participating in peaceful demonstrations to claim the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence and requesting an immediate end to the illegal looting of natural resources in their country, "the commission said in a statement.
It "strongly" condemned the repression of peaceful demonstrations organized by Saharawi citizens in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, expressing its solidarity with all Saharawi citizens in the occupied territories and its support for their legitimate demands for self-determination and independence
CONASADH also called on all United Nations bodies and international organizations to put pressure on the Moroccan government to respect its international commitments, particularly in the field of human rights, and to work for the creation of an independent UN mechanism to monitor and report on the human rights situation in Western Sahara.
