Austrian Saharawi Association (ÖSG) calls Morocco to respect human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara

Vienna (Austria), July 5, 2018 (SPS) - The Austrian Saharawi Association (ÖSG) has appealed Morocco to respect human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara that witnessed brutal interventions by the Moroccan occupation forces against peaceful Saharawi demonstrators during the visit of the UN Special Representative, Horst Köhler.
In a press statement, the President of the Austrian-Saharan Association, regional deputy, Karin Scheele, once again expressed her "solidarity with the Saharawi people who have been fighting for decades for their rights to self-determination and the application of international law. . "
"We are shocked and upset about the serious state of the young Saharawi of 18 years, Ayoub Ali Boujemaa (Elghen), who was hit by a Moroccan police car.
The Austrian-Saharawi Association called for an independent and credible UN investigation to clarify the circumstances of the outrage against Ali Ayoub Boujemaa (Elghen) and to investigate the excessive police violence used against peaceful Saharawi demonstrators. SPS
