Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), May 5, 2018 (SPS) - The Polisario Front denied Wednesday in a communiqué the Moroccan allegations concerning the so-called “military support” of Lebanese Hezbollah to the Polisario Front.
In this communiqué, the Polisario Front dubbed “political opportunism” Morocco’s decision to break off its diplomatic relations with Iran, through which it aims at taking a stand concerning the new regional and international developments.”
“Taking note of Morocco’s decision to break off its diplomatic relations with Iran because of an alleged military support of Lebanese Hezbollah to Polisario Front, this latter strongly denies these allegations which are but a desperate reproduction of the previous propaganda operations exploited by Morocco to take a stand in the new regional and international developments to serve its expansionist agenda,” said the Polisario in a communiqué.
“Through this action which denotes a “political opportunism,” Morocco aims at taking a stand in the new regional and international developments and a pretext to by-pass the resumption of negotiation process with the Sahrawi side, adopted by the Council of Security in its resolution 2414 of 27 April which puts Morocco in front of its responsibilities to resume the decolonization process of Western Sahara in accordance with UN principles and Charter.” (SPS)
