President Ghali warns against new processes of physical liquidation of Sahrawi detainees

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), , Feb 24, 2018 (SPS) –Sahrawi president and General Secretary of the Polisario Front Brahim Ghali has warned against the new processes of the physical liquidation practiced by the Moroccan occupier against the Sahrawi detainees, calling on the entire international community to mobilize.
In a message sent to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterrès, the Sahrawi president warned against the "serious violations of human rights, practiced by Morocco against the unarmed Sahrawi civilians, notably the human rights defenders and the political detainees in the Moroccan prisons."
The crimes of physical liquidation committed by the occupying forces "are perpetrated today through other processes, particularly since the outbreak of peaceful resistance in 2005, notably through killings, torture, harassment and blockade."
It concerns this time, one of the Gdeim Izik detainees, Mohamed El Ayoubi, who died last Wednesday, in a hospital of El Aaiun occupied city, said President Brahim Ghali, indicating that the deceased, arrested during the dismantling of Sahrawi refugee camp Gdeim Izik in 2008, has suffered since his detention, particularly since late 2010 and the following year 2011, of serious abuse notably rape, beatings, torture and deprivation.
