Abidjan, Nov 30, 2017 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) is taking part, without any complex, in the 5th African Union-European Union Summit in Abidjan, said Thursday Minister of State and advisor at the Sahrawi Presidency Bachir Mustapha Sayed, welcoming the fact that the Sahrawi flag waves in the Ivorian capital among the national flags of other African and European countries.
“It is without any complex, with a peer to peer status, that the SADR is taking part in AU-EU Summit in Abidjan and that our President Brahim Gali is sitting in the same hall as Morocco’s King,” said Mustapha Sayed on the sidelines of the 5th AU-EU Summit, describing it as a “first and a resounding victory for Western Sahara.”
Sayed said that what happened in Abidjan will allow going towards an appeasement in the region and the building of a grand Maghreb by including Western Sahara.”
He also welcomed the fact that the Sahrawi flag waves in the Ivorian capital, at Hassen II avenue, underlining that “SADR’s participation in the meeting of Abidjan remains a great achievement and important victory for the Sahrawi cause.”SPS
