King of Morocco contradicts his claims of commitment to interests of Africa and its peoples (Sahrawi Government)

Shaheed El-Hafed, 21 August 2017 (SPS) - The Sahrawi government affirmed that there is a blatant contradiction between the claim of the King of Morocco to abide by the interests and values of Africa and its peoples and the practice of illegal military occupation of parts of an African country, namely the Sahrawi Republic, and thus blatant violation of fundamental pillars of the Constitutive Act of the African Union notably the borders inherited at independence.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Information on Monday, the Sahrawi Government underlined that during his speech on Sunday, 20 August 2017, the King of Morocco to revealed the real intentions behind what he calls approach towards Africa and accession to its continental organization, in pursuit to impose unjust, aggressive expansionist colonial policy, contrary to the requirements of international legitimacy and the history of the continent and its struggle and the foundations and objectives of its continental organization.
The statement strongly condemned the Moroccan King's letter of continued policies of intransigence and aggression, calling on the African Union to take all necessary measures to put an end to the attempts of the Kingdom of Morocco to manipulate its constitutive law and to exert the necessary pressure and sanctions to enforce the Kingdom's commitment to its principles and requirement, and thus to immediately the withdraw from the parts it occupies from the Sahrawi Republic, a  founding member of the African Union.
