Establishment of a Nicaraguan parliamentary committee to support Saharawi people

Nicaragua, July 20و 2017 (SPS) - The Nicaraguan Parliamentary Group of Solidarity with the Saharawi People established Wednesday at the Nicaraguan Parliament headquarters in Managua, in the presence of the President of the Sahrawi National Council Khatri Adouh..
The Parliamentary Committee will contribute to the defense of the Saharawi people's right to self-determination and independence, to strengthen relations of solidarity and cooperation between the two parliaments and to facilitate important initiatives between the Sahrawi-Nicaraguan peoples.
In his speech, President of the National Sahrawi Council, Khatri Aduh, President of the National Assembly of Nicaragua and the deputies who form the group, said that it will contribute to the definition of the Sahrawi issue in Nicaragua and Latin America.
 
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Minister Delegate in charge of Latin America, Mansour Omar, and the Saharawi Ambassador in Nicaragua, Suleiman Al-Tayeb. SPS
