Dakhla (occupied Sahrawi territories), 16 Apr 2017 (SPS) The Moroccan occupying forces have launched a fierce campaign against the Saharawi citizens in Dakhla after a series of peaceful demonstrations demanding the right of the Saharawi people to Self-determination.
This campaign has been launched since April 7 against Saharawi civilians because of their participation in peaceful demonstrations demanding the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence and the immediate release of Saharawi political prisoners (Gdeim Izik group) , according to a Saharawi judicial source.
In this context, two young Sahrawis, Ahmed Hadad and Hisham Maayif, were interrogated before being transferred by the prosecutor of "the court of first instance" on April 10, to the local prison of Taourta (north of dakhla) where their trial was postponed until Monday (April17).
Two other young Saharawis, Ahmed Zein Farrah and Ahmed Ahmeyada, are still in pre-trial detention awaiting trial, the source said, without giving further details. (SPS)
