Malainin Sadik received by the Nigeria Foreign Minister

Abuja, February 08, 2017 (SPS)- The extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic  (SADR) to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Malainin Sadik, was received in audience by Mrs. B. Khadija Ibrahim, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Nigeria.
The meeting that took place at the Ministry's headquarters dealt with the bilateral relations between the two countries and the latest developments in the Saharawi conflict, in particular the question of the admission of Morocco to the AU and the judgment of the Court of the European Union which reiterates that Trade with Morocco is not applicable to the territory of Western Sahara.
 
In addition, Nigeria's civil society, through 25 organizations and associations, has sent a letter to the President-in-Office of the AU and the Chairperson of the African Union Commission in which they call on African countries and the AU to ensure and demand the respect on the part of Morocco of the objectives and principles established in the AU Constitutive Act that it has signed and ratified.
