Arrest of human rights activist, Claude Mangin: Sahrawi Human Rights Committee expresses condemnation of this irresponsible act

Bir Lahlou (liberated territories), February 07, 2017 (SPS) - The Sahrawi National Commission for Human Rights expressed its condemnation of the expulsion of the human rights activist Claude Mongin Asfari by the Moroccan authorities.
 
The Commission added in a statement a copy of which obtained by SPS stated "preventing Claude Monaghan from visiting her husband constitutes a flagrant violation of international human rights law," expressing profound solidarity with them and with all the Sahrawi families who suffer from injustice Moroccan penitentiary administration.
 
The statement called on the international community, human rights organizations, media , trade union and legal institutions, to intensify visits to Sahrawi political prisoners in Moroccan jails  and to the occupied Western Sahara, as the territory  is under UN responsibility and work to open an investigation about what is happening of  serious human rights and to inform the international public opinion.
