Submitted on

Addis Ababa, January 28, 2017 (SPS) - Sahrawi Foreign Affairs Mohamed Salem Ould Salek stressed Friday the current Summit of Heads of state and government of the African Union (AU) would replace Morocco in front of its historical and legal responsibilities, a power that illegally occupies a member country of the AU, recalling Morocco is the only country in Africa which does not respect its internationally recognized borders.
Ould Salek presented before representatives of the world press agencies, and African and international media the latest development of the Sahrawi issue, highlighting Morocco's intransigence and refusal of fulfilling its commitments towards the Sahrawi cause, particularly the self-determination referendum.
"Morocco is the only African country that does not accept and will not respect its borders recognized by the UN and the AU," he added.
"Morocco is a special case and needs a special treatment by the AU bodies as it is an occupying force whose constitution does not recognized inherited from colonialism," he stressed.SPS
