Prime Minister arrives in Accra to take part in investiture ceremony of new Ghanaian President

Accra, 07 Jan 2017 (SPS) - Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Oumar, representative of the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali,  arrived Friday in Accra to take part in the investiture ceremony of the new President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Prime Minister was welcomed at the Kotoka International Airport by Minister of National Security Khan Deba and the Chairman of the Committee responsible for the reception of the delegations participating in the investiture ceremony of the new Ghanaian President.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Taleb Omar expressed on behalf of the Sahrawi Government and people his congratulations to the Republic of Ghana for the success of its democratic experience and the peaceful transfer of power that has become a model in Africa.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by the Saharawi ambassador to Accra, Mahjub Sidna, and Counselor to the Presidency, Wadadi Moustapha.
The new Ghanaian president was elected at the end of the elections held on 7 December 2016 with 53.85% of votes.
The ceremony of investiture of the president of the Republic of Ghana will take place Saturday. (SPS)
