Chahid El Hafed, November 11, 2016 (SPS) - The member of the National Secretariat of the Frente POLISARIO and Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, received this Thursday the Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Hamdi Bujari in the headquarters of the Ministry.
The meeting was attended by the President of the Red Crescent Sahrawi, Mr. Buhubeini Yahya Buhubeini.
The Representative of UNHCR in Algeria stated in statements to national media that the purpose of the visit is to inform the Prime Minister about the latest developments in the humanitarian field as well as all the initiatives undertaken by the Commissioner recently in the field of Humanitarian aid.
He also said that he discussed with the Saharawi authorities the ways to alleviate the suffering of the Saharawi people by redoubling "efforts in the mobilization of resources to provide humanitarian assistance to the Saharawi refugees"
Sahrawi Red Crescent President Yahiya Buhibeini expressed his gratitude for the great effort made by the High Commissioner for Refugees since last year, especially after the floods that hit the Sahrawi camps. SPS
