Saharawi Ambassador meets with Secretary General of SWAPO

Windhoek, November 5, 2016 (SPS) - The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of SADR to Angola and Namibia, Abah Dei Shaikh met with the Secretary General of SWAPO, Namibia, Nangolo Mbumba, where they discussed ways to boost cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Secretary General of SWAPO reiterated the firm stance of his country in support of the Saharawi cause, emphasizing that they will continue to support the efforts of Africa and the UN in finding a fair solution that guarantees the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence.

The Saharawi ambassador expressed his gratitude to the State of Namibia and SWAPO for their firm positions of support for the Saharawi people to freedom and independence.

The Saharawi Ambassador briefed the Secretary General of SWAPO on the latest developments in the Saharawi question, the looting of Saharawi natural resources by Morocco, its continued repression, torture and violation of human rights in the occupied territories of SADR. (SPS)
