IUSY condemns Moroccan violation of cease-fire in Western Sahara

Athens, September 11, 2016 (SPS) The International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) strongly denounced the Moroccan violation of cease-fire agreement signed between the two parties to the conflict, the Polisario Front and Morocco, at a meeting of the Mediterranean Committee.
The organization demanded the Moroccan regime to respect the cease-fire and its commitments to the international community, calling on the UN to intervene to prevent the return of war in the region.
During the meeting, the participants affirmed their support to Saharawi people's right to freedom and independence.
The Sahrawi Youth Union was represented during the works of this committee by Hamdi Youcef, in charge of external relations, who took the opportunity to inform the participants on the latest developments of the question of Western Sahara. (SPS)
