Algiers, September 02, 2016 (SPS)  - Sahrawi ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Bouchraya Hamudi Beyún said yesterday  that "the Moroccan violation of the ceasefire in the El Guergarat aims to obstruct the negotiations and undermine efforts to resolve the conflict in Western Sahara ".
In an interview with the Algerian newspaper, "Al-Khabar," Mr. Bouchraya Beyún said that "the Moroccan attitude represents a violation of the ceasefire signed in 1991 and the United Nations must intervene to stop these excesses and imprudence, because in reality Morocco aims to hinder negotiations which the Security Council called for it last month between the POLISARIO Front (sole and legitimate representative of the Saharawi people) and Morocco ".
Facing this escalation in the El Guergarat, Sahrawi diplomat said "POLISARIO deployed its army to face the Moroccan provocations, highlighting the commitment of the Saharawi party with the ceasefire agreement and requesting the United Nations Mission for the referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) to set a date for the organization of the referendum on self-determination for the Saharawi people ".
