Sahrawi human rights activist initiates hunger strike at Moroccan prison of Oudaya

Marrakech (Morocco), August 27, 2016 (SPS) Saharawi political prisoner and activist of human rights, Abdelmula Al Hafed, on Friday began a 48-hour hunger strike to protest against inhuman treatment at Moroccan prison of Oudaya, Marrakech.
The Moroccan prison authorities had denied repeatedly the Saharawi activist of human rights medical treatment and basic necessities, which worsened his condition.
The Sahrawi political prisoner and human rights activist was transferred to the prison of Oudaya in Marrakech last April 17, with seventeen other Saharawi university students because of their political activities in support of the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination and independence.
