Smara (Occupied Territories), July 25, 2016 (SPS) - Moroccan forces suppressed Friday a peaceful protest staged by dozens of unemployed Saharawi graduates in the occupied town of Smara, the ministry of Occupied Territories and Saharawi Community Abroad has said.
According to the source, the coordination of unemployed Saharawi graduates has called the population of the occupied town of Smara to take part in the demonstration, to protest against Moroccan occupation authorities' systematic exclusion policy against Western Sahara people and their right to a job and a decent life.
Moroccan uniformed and plainclothes forces, the source added, encircled the protest area before assaulting the unemployed Saharawis protestors using force to disperse them. Several casualties have been reported. (SPS)
