Spanish Parliamentary Group "Peace for the Saharawi people" calles its government to assumes its responsibility towards Western Sahara conflict

Madrid (Spain) April 15, 2016 (SPS) - the parliamentary group "Peace for the Saharawi people" in the Spanish Parliamant  requested on Thursday the Spanish government to assumes its responsibility for "the settlement of the conflict in Western Sahara by working to organize" free and democratic referendum on self-determination which expresses the will of the Saharawi people. "
 
MPs of various Spanish  political’s parties signed the statement released after meeting organized  at the level of the Spanish Parliament in Madrid except the Popular Party,the statement which APS recevied copy of which said that "the time has come to change in Spain's policy towards the Western Sahara through the defense of freedom and human rights in Western Sahara. "
 
The said parties called the Spanish government to play efective role as the UN Security Council non permanent member in the search for an urgent and fair and final solution in Western Sahara and to expands the mandate of  the UN mission in Western Sahara MINURSO  through creating a mechanism to monitor human rights."
They also demanded the release of all Saharawi political prisoners incarcerated in prisons of Morocco.SPS
