Minatou Larabas, has affirmed that the 9th Congress of the Women's Union will be a great opportunity to highlight the struggle of Sahrawi women and the achievements and challenges of the past phase. 

SPLA carries out new attacks against Moroccan occupation forces in Hawza sector

Birlahlou, 29 May 2022 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) have carried out new attacks against the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupation forces in several areas in the sector of Hawza, indicated Saturday the Ministry of National Defense in its communiqué N 544.
According to the communiqué, "SPLA units targeted the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupying forces in the areas of Gseibi Najla, Gseib Amchghab and Gseibi Lamlas, in the Hawza sector.

President of Republic calls for redoubling efforts to address situation of African refugees and displaced people

Amnesty calls on Moroccan occupier to stop "harassing" Sahrawi activists

London, 28 May 2022 (SPS) - Amnesty International has called on the Moroccan authorities to end the "harassment" and "violence" against Sahrawi human rights activists after police officers and agents of the Moroccan occupation forces violently assaulted five Sahrawi activists in occupied Boujdour in Western Sahara recently.
The London-based non-governmental organization said it had investigated the circumstances of the separate attacks on five Saharawi activists on 15 and 16 April in the occupied city of Boujdour.

Spanish Congress rejects Sanchez decision, calls for respect of international legality

Madrid, 28 May 2022 (SPS) - The Spanish Congress adopted a resolution Thursday reaffirming the need to accomplish the decolonization process of Western Sahara, in full compliance with international legality and the UN resolutions, indicated a statement of the Parliament.
For the second time in less than two months, the Spanish Congress has expressed its rejection of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's decision to support the Makhzen's so-called "autonomy" plan on the Western Sahara issue.

Boujadour (Refugee Camps), 23 May 2022 (SPS) - The creation of the World Youth Coordination for Solidarity with Western Sahara was announced on Sunday before the conclusion of the work of the International Conference of Solidarity with the Sahrawi People and its Just Cause, which began Saturday morning in the wilaya of Boujadour.
Composed of 12 members representing different youth organizations from around the world, the newly formed coordination works to raise awareness of the Sahrawi cause worldwide and mobilize support for the Sahrawi people.

Algiers, 16 May 2022 (SPS) - The Special Envoy in charge of the Western Sahara issue and Maghreb countries at the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Amar Belani stressed Monday that the position of the European Union (EU) to fully support the United Nations (UN) efforts to engage a political process for the settlement of the Sahrawi issue "contributes to reducing the campaign led by Morocco to resurrect its 2007 proposal to a vain attempt to circumvent international law.”

Occupied Boujador (Saharawi Republic) 16 May 2022 (SPS)- Various sources from the occupied territories, in addition to photos and videos obtained by the Sahrawi Press Agency (SPS), confirmed that the Moroccan police, late last night, attacked the home of the Khaya family in the occupied city of Boujdour, with a large truck that crashed the walls of the house at least three times, targeting the garage door.

According to the communiqué, "SPLA units carried out intense attacks targeting the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupying forces in the area of Rous Es-sebti, Laakad, Akouira Ould Blal in the sector of Mahbes.

Spanish delegation to visit Sahrawi refugee camps soon to reaffirm support for Sahrawi cause

Madrid, 15 May 2022 (SPS) - A Spanish parliamentary delegation will pay a visit to the Saharawi refugee camps next week to reiterate its support for the struggle of the Saharawi people and condemn the "flagrant bias" of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez regarding the conflict in Western Sahara.
According to Spanish media, 147 Spanish and European personalities will travel to the Saharawi refugee camps to participate in the celebrations of the 49th anniversary of the creation of the Polisario Front and the outbreak of the armed struggle.
